My favorite part of this performance is so many of the contestants are like " keep the focus on me!" but he makes sure to give his two guitarists a few seconds in the spotlight....he's just up there jamming hard with two guys and you can tell the three of them are just enjoying it!

This performance was unique. It's crazy that he got sent home after this. This song is called September and he made the stage look like fall. And he stripped the song so it wasn't like the original. That is artistry. I'm seeing Colton at the end of July. I can't wait to see him. He's one of the American idol contestants I've been wanting to see. And I saw Adam Lambert either on his first or second solo tour. He and Colton were the only contestants I've been wanting to see and after July I will have seen both of them. Maybe daughtry can be next. But I've only been focused on seeing Adam and Colton. They were my favorite contestants of all time. OK. Now I'm done. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

I don’t think there was ever a more dramatic or heartfelt winner on American Idol than Phillip Phillips. He was so ill at that time but he pushed on. I will always remember this young man. Many times I will hear this song being played on loud speakers in different venues . I was so happy to see him the other day on LIVE WITH KELLY AND MARK.

I don’t get it - is this a Fleetwood Mac thing or a Stevie thing? Edge of 17 is Stevie solo and Don’t Stop is not a Stevie song - in fact she doesn’t like it. It was horrible choice for Phillip to sing. What if he and Elise sang Stop Dragging My Heart Around? That would’ve been better

Still the only Dave cover that gives me the chills. One of the greatest songs of all time. A Holy Grail for the community and Phillip just killed it. Well done.

I don't know if you even pay attention to these comments but in the small chance that you do, I wanted to ask if you were the one that came up with this arrangement of the song or if it was already chosen by the band or producers. Was this all you or did you just have to worry about singing it? I still come back here to hear it every once in a while because I have always been blown away by how good it is.

Just watched because John Fogerty is in it, the other guy can't even sing a second voice...when I listen to those youngs singing it sounds like they're crying in diapers, ykwim?
